Smithsonian Castle - Temporarily reopened between Memorial Day and Labor Day - Showcasing priceless objects from the independence era and the American Aspirations exhibit will run from June 2–July 26, 2026.
National Museum of Women in the Arts - Ms. Americana - Examine portraits and landscapes painted by female American artists between the 18th and 20th centuries in Ms. Americana through October 2026.
Ben's Chili Bowl - The iconic restaurant on U Street where Barack Obama famously chowed down on a half-smoke, you’ll grab a sandwich in a little paper plate and nab a seat at the long, diner-like bar. Oh, and score a lot of napkins – you’ll need them.
Ford's Theater - While well-known for being the location of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, but did you know that it is co-operated by the National Park Service? In 1968, a restored Ford’s Theatre opened with its first public performance since Lincoln’s assassination. Since then, the joint historic site and working theatre has produced and presented musicals, comedies and dramas including the pre-Broadway run of Come From Away and the acclaimed revival of Big River.
Dauphine's - A dinner experience that will bring you back to American cities, specifically the flavors of New Orleans. Chefs Douglas Alexander and Kyle Bailey use mid-Atlantic ingredients to prepare classic NoLa dishes and to create their own originals inspired by the Gulf Coast city. Beignets make an appearance on the dessert menu.
Old Ebbitt Grill - Established in 1856, Old Ebbitt Grill is Washington's oldest saloon, just steps from The White House and museums downtown.
Portrait Gallery - America's Presidents exhibit - The permanent gallery features the only complete collection of presidential portraits on view outside of the White House.
National Archives - The American Story - See George Washington’s annotated draft of the Constitution, the Louisiana Purchase Treaty and patents for Thomas Edison’s lightbulb, Barbie and Yoda. The American Story and adjacent Discovery Center for children are part of an extensive $40 million renovation, marking the first major transformation of the National Archives Museum in two decades.
U.S. Botanic Garden - America's State Flowers - The U.S. Botanic Garden will display the flowers each U.S. state and territory has chosen as their official flower. From fragrant magnolia flowers and roses to native orchids, bluebonnets and saguaro cactus flowers, enjoy the variety of floral beauty that symbolizes America.
Dacha Beer Garden - 250 Years of Beer - A tour of beer through the 50 states. Each month, they’ll feature beers from states in chronological order of when they entered the union.
Tudor Palace - Visitors can learn the stories of the six generations of Martha Washington’s family and the enslaved people who labored there.
